Relocating from one country to another when one doesn’t know the language or customs of the new country is very trying. It is understandable why an immigrant would tend to live among fellow countrymen.

For well over 100 years America has been a melting pot welcoming immigrants seeking a better life. The vast majority of immigrants have strived to blend in, learn English and abide by our laws and customs. It appears that this does not seem to apply to many people of the Islamic faith. There are a growing number of instances in America where Muslims have been trying to establish Muslim areas as they have in France.

In France, in 2004, there were in excess of 750 Muslim Only Areas that function autonomously where the French government has no control. These Muslim only areas are virtually states within a country were Sharia (Islamic) law takes precedent over French law.

Canada is another example of Islamists exploiting the legal system. In 1991 Ontario passed the “Arbitration Act.” This act allowed religious designated arbitrators to settle disputes so long as the result did not contradict Canadian law. Several years later the Premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, stated that religious-based arbitrations "threaten our common ground," and announced, "There will be no Shari‘a law in Ontario. There will be one law for all Ontarians,” and submitted legislation eliminating all religious arbitration.

Webster’s Dictionary defines an enclave as a place surrounded entirely by the territory of another power. Here in the USA Muslim groups have petitioned to establish enclaves in which they can uphold and enforce greater compliance to Islamic (Shari’a) law. They argue for their religious right to live by Shari’a law.

There are a significant number of clashes between the two set of laws, such as forced marriages, the minimum age of brides, and whether wives and daughters may enjoy equal inheritance. Then, according to Shari’a law, a women needs four male witnesses to testify seeing her being raped to prove her accusation. Also, traditional schools of Islamic jurisprudence are unanimous in holding that conversion away from Islam by a male Muslim is punishable by death. Does that mean Americans would be required to enforce Shari;a law’s death penalty for converts?

There are numerous Muslim communities throughout America. One such organization, Muslims of the Americas (MOA), admits to owning at least 22 villages around the country which operate under names like “Islamberg,” “Holy Islamville” and “Aliville” These Muslim-only lands are open to outsiders only during planned outreach events. The Department of Homeland Security says that MOA is linked to a Pakistani terrorist group. The Christian Action Network (http://www.christianaction.org/) alleges via videotape that MOA compounds are used for paramilitary training.

There are groups that are promoting the creation of Islamic enclaves on U.S. soil. One such group is, Ummah, which is looking to create autonomous Muslim regions in the U.S.A. The FBI describes the Ummah as a "nationwide radical fundamentalist group consisting mainly of African-Americans" whose goal is to create "a separate, sovereign Islamic state within the borders of the United States, governed by Shari'a law.”

Muslim areas have been established in most of our 52 states such as Oak Hill, California, Hancock and Deposit, New York, Houston, Texas, Baltimore, Maryland and in Kentucky and Massachusetts. In some states there are multiple Muslim only areas .

The leaders of a number of these areas have been linked to terrorist organizations. One such organization is As-Sabigun, headed by Imam Abduk Alim Musa who is very honest about his disturbing objectives. The group's website calls for installing Islamic law worldwide.
I cannot imagine a group, within the USA, being allowed the authority to restrict access to government streets or roads based on religious or ethnic criteria. Just like in France this is just what is likely to happen if a true enclave is permitted/
We cannot permit any Muslim group to have autonomous control of an area, enclave, to the degree that Sharia law supersedes state or federal law. There must be one law for all Americans and legal immigrants. How do we maintain ONE LAW for all? Speak out and notify your representatives.
