At first glance, being politically correct appears to be the proper thing to do and not be a big deal. The question is, is there a down side to political correctness?
From Wikipedia encyclopedia’s definition. Political correctness and politically correct type terms are the terms applied to language, ideas, policies, and behavior meant to enforce ideological conformity to an orthodox authority. From this definition I would say that political correctness can be a VERY BIG DEAL particularly if you are required to conform to someone else’s beliefs and jeopardize or give up your beliefs and freedom. .
Our U.S. government and many of our politicians are taking action in the name of political correctness. But is it the smart thing to do and does it protect our freedom and democracy?
On October 2,2007 a resolution in the US House of Representatives called, "Recognizing Commencement of Ramadan and Commending Muslims for Their Faith" passed by a 376-0 vote. The measure was called "a sign of respect and recognition," by Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, a co-sponsor of the resolution. He added, "It’s a very American thing to do. We are a nation of religious tolerance and religious inclusion." For your information Minnesota has a very large Muslim population.
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) said “This resolution is an example of the degree to which political correctness has captured the political and media elite in this country,” He also said “The problem is that any attempt to do so for Christians or Jews is immediately condemned as ‘breaching’ the non-existent line between church and state by the same elite.” I do not believe that our government has ever voted on recognizing any other religion.
On November 21, 2006 a number of passengers on the US Airways flight 300 alerted the crew that six Muslim men, Imams, were acting suspiciously, taking seats other than those assigned and supposedly spouting anti-American rhetoric. The crew and a US Marshal concurred with the passengers’ concerns and made the six depart from the plane.
After the group of six Muslim imams filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against US Airways and unknown (John Doe) passengers, Rep Peter King, New, York and Rep. Steve Pearce, New Mexico, sponsored a provision to the Homeland Security legislation that would protect the public from being sued for reporting behavior that may lead to a terrorist attack. There are a number of terrorist arrests that were made as a result of citizens notifying the authorities about questionable occurrences. What would have happened if these citizens feared being sued?
It seems that the majority of our legislators caved in to political correctness and did not pass the legislation. The rejection of the John Doe bill will work against the Homeland Security’s needs and the safety of Americans.
Random House was to publish an historical novel by Sherry Jones, titled "The Jewel of Medina." on August 12, 2008. Although the rights to publish cost Random House $100,000 the book’s publication was canceled, according to Random House, because the Muslim community might be offended.
On March 30, 2009 the “Telegraph” reported that the European Union has drawn up guidelines advising government spokesmen to refrain from linking Islam and terrorism.
Brussels officials have confirmed the existence of a classified handbook which offers "non-offensive" phrases in place of terms such as "jihad", "Islamic" or "fundamentalist".
On March 3, 2009 “The Washington Post” reported that U.S. government speechwriters and other staff were notified to use "Overseas Contingency Operation" instead of terms such as Global War on Terror. On March 30, 2009 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the Obama administration has indeed abandoned the term “war on terror." If it is not a war then what are we fighting?
If most of the terrorist are Muslim and proclaim themselves as such, and freely state they are fighting their Jihad, why can’t we? When, ever, in history did any military feel obligated to be politically correct and appease their mortal enemy? Why do all the politically correct actions or lack thereof appear only to appease Muslims? What will we be asked to call Muslim suicide Bombers, Terrorist, Islamists, Jihadists and murderers of civilians-- “freedom fighters?” Let you congress representatives know you are not happy with “Political Correctness” when it undermines our safety or freedom, no matter how slightly.

A HOLOCAUST IN THE MAKING
If you were born in Europe between 1930 and 1945, and were Jewish, it is highly probable that you and your family would have been sent to a concentration camp and murdered along with 6,000,000 other Jewish people. A holocaust does not occur over night. It is something that builds from lies and distortion. Then it grows into hate and escalates to violence and murder.
On November 22, 2009 Abraham Foxman, Director of THE “Anti-Defamation League,” reported “we face immense challenges, some of the kind that we haven't encountered for decades. First, for us as a Jewish community, is the challenge of global anti-Semitism, reaching a peak this year that we haven't seen since the tragic days of World War II.”
The Jewish people may well be facing another Holocaust one that is void of death machines such as gas chambers/ incinerators. Although through the stimulation of words, individuals and groups can replace the death machines. Below are a few examples of what may be the steps along the path to a Holocaust for Jews.
On March 1, 1999, a Federal District court in Brooklyn sentenced Ghazi Ibrahim Abu Maizar. His crime, conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction. After his arrest, Abu Maizar told an FBI agent that he had decided to detonate the bomb on a subway line that runs from Manhattan to Coney Island. "because there are a lot of Jews that ride that train." At the trial, Abu Maizar said he hopes to kill "as many Jews as he could. “
On Jan 7, 2010 The Associated Press reported about an instance on a Delta flight from Miami to Detroit. According to a witness Mansor Mohammad Asad, 43, repeatedly yelled “I'm Palestinian and I want to kill all the Jews.“ Asad was removed from the plane and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
On January 28, 2010 “The Brooklyn” paper reported that Karen Guilbert, while walking her daughter to school along Sixth Avenue in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, NY, found the street was littered with strips of papers reading “KILL JEWS” Karen recalls that in October of 2009 she picked up similar slips that read “KILL JEWS.”
It was reported by the “Orange County Reporter” that on Feb 8, 2010 a group of students with Middle Eastern names disrupted a speech given by the Israeli Ambassador, Michael Oren, at the University of California, Irvine. This may seem to be of minor concern. However, this is a common occurrence when the speaker is pro-Israel or anti-Jihad. Many universities have experienced such disruptions by groups such as the Muslim Student Association, a group which has been linked to the notorious Muslim Brotherhood.
Associated Press reported that on February 20, 2010 the largest synagogue in Egypt – the only one that still conducts High Holy Day services – was the target of an attempted bombing. Also, due to the sharp rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes Jews are leaving cities across Europe such as Malmo, Sweden where they were taken in after World War II and treated with respect.
The above anti-Jewish sentiments being expressed are but a very small sampling of the hate being spread. There are lies such as the killing of Christian children to make matzo. How about the one that Israel is harvesting Palestinian organs? Then blaming the Jews for the war in Iraq. Better yet claiming the Jews caused the 9/11catstrophies even though Islamic terrorists hijacked the airplanes and Islamists joyfully and repeatedly take credit for the events
With the warning by ADL of the rise in anti-Semitism, with claims the Jewish people are controlling our government, and the continuous barrage of hatred spewed out by the Islamic world, Jews need to become actively involved counteracting the lies. Let us remember what happened in the 30’s and 40’s when we did not act.
Now this hatred is seen around the world, even in the halls of the UN. Then add the reality that so many fanatic Islamist religious leaders, world-wide, are preaching the same call to arms as the Egyptian cleric, Zaghloul Al-Naggar, who stated on January 6, 2009 during a TV interview “I Am 'Absolutely' Calling To Wage Jihad Against the Jews.”
Every Jew should face the fact that the Jewish people are facing anti-Semitism the likes of which not seen since the 30’s and 40’s in Europe. Jews need to speak up regularly in self defense against the daily barrage of hateful lies. ENEMIES IN OUR UNIVERSITIES
The education one is exposed to is very important, particularly in an individual’s formative years. The seeds planted in the student form the person they become. Teachers can have a profound impact on a pupil’s opinions.
There are instructors in our universities who have exhibited strong opinions in favor of our mortal enemies, such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated in its own words to "eliminating and destroying Western civilization.”
When teaching, these instructors are known to present their personal opinions even when it is clearly outside of the course’s venue. Some have been linked with Jihadists groups.
Columbia University seems to have a preponderance of instructors who seem highly biased toward the Arab world and/or against the USA, Israel and Jews. There is Hamid Dabash, Professor of Iranian Studies and Comparative Literature, who was reported by a student as saying “If I was going to deny the atrocities' committed against the Palestinians, I could get out of his class." Then Joseph Massad allegedly asked one student, Tony Schoenfeld, an Israeli military veteran, "How many Palestinians have you killed? Students of George Saliba, have reported he rants against the west. Students say his class could be called "Why the West is Evil."
As far back as 1981 the “Christian Monitor” reported that Rashid Khalidi, professor of Arab Studies, at Columbia, served on the PLO "guidance committee." Rashid was the director of the PLO's press agency WAFA from 1976 to 1982. More recently he asserted that Israel's government "refused to negotiate" with the Palestinian Authority when, in reality, Israel has formally negotiated with the PA since 1993.
On September 24, 2009 “Front Page Magazine” noted that Norman Finkelstein has been a faculty member at Brooklyn College, Rutgers University, Hunter College and New York University. When he was recruited by DePaul University he had been fired from two teaching jobs (NYU and Hunter College) because of his lack of substantive scholarship and his obsessive rants against Jews and Israel. In June 2007, Finkelstein was denied tenure at DePaul.
In April 2006 Sami al-Arian, a former tenured associate professor at the University of South Florida, plead guilty to laundering money for a Palestinian Jihad group, as reported by Reuters News agency. Sami was also the North American head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad and active in the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Wayne State University professor, Thomas Abowd, is known for his anti-Israeli ideology. Mr. Abowd was the only Wayne State professor to speak at a 2008 rally organized by the anti-Israel/anti-America group ARA, (whose members openly praised Hezbollah.
Gabriel Piterberg, a professor at UCLA, called an Israeli action into Gaza an "Israeli onslaught on Gaza Palestinians" and labeled IDF soldiers "war criminals.
Michael Rubin, editor of the’ Middle East Quarterly’ reported that Juan Cole, a history professor at the University of Michigan, calls Israel "the most dangerous regime in the Middle East." Cole’s recurring theme is that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee effectively controls Congress.
There are other similarly inclined professors such Joel Beinen at Stanford University, John Esposito at Georgetown University and William O. Beenam at the University of Minnesota. Many such professors, at least verbally, support the Jihadist terrorists and their tactics which include suicide bombing.
What good is it that you learn what undue pressure non-Muslim students are subjected to? It is to give you a good reason to voice your opinion to our political leaders. FANNING THE FLAMES
Our enemies, the fanatic Islamists, the Jihadists, or whatever you prefer to call them, openly declare war on us on a daily basis. This article will show another very powerful tool they use daily. A tool that is far more powerful than a gun or bomb. You may never hear about this tool that they use many times a day. Across the world you hear from their media, from their leaders and Imams (religious leaders), very effectively using the war of words to, fan the flames of hate, brain wash their followers to wage war against their enemies Americans, Christians, Hindus, Jews all infidels. In short anyone who is not a Muslim is an enemy.
The Hezbollah Secretary-General Nasrallah stated, “The U.S. Is a Beast, One Bite by Our Nation and Israel Is gone.” His audience responded with “Death to America.” Narallah also said "They tell us that America is a civilized country. Blessed be Imam Khomeini for calling it ‘the Great Satan.’ Throughout the history of the human race, there has never been a country, a leadership, or an- elite as barbaric as they are in the USA. You could not find an-elite as hostile to the human race as the elite of the USA." Again the crowd yelled "Death to America.”
Qari Hifzur Rehamn, a Pakistani cleric, told the newspaper “The Sun” of imposing Islamic laws of stoning and beheading in Britain. He stated “We want Islamic law for all Pakistan and the world. We would like to do this by preaching. But, if not, then we would use force.”
On January 1, 2006 Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an Islamist and an Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq, said “Killing the infidels is our religion, slaughtering them is our religion, until they convert to Islam or pay us tribute."
On April 15, 2008 another Islamic cleric said “We will conquer two Americas and Europe. Allah has chosen you for Himself and for His religion, so that you will serve as the engine pulling this nation to the phase of succession, security, and consolidation of power, and even to conquests thorough da'wa and military conquests of the capitals of the entire world.”
The three above messages are consistent and clear. Their way or else you die.
In early 2009, a Syrian government paper’s article stated that the Jews sucked the blood from Jesus' wounds during His crucifixion, and called for the Arabs, Muslims, and Christians to unite to defeat them. In the second article, Mustafa Antaki called the Jews "blood-letters," and accused them of sucking the blood and consuming the resources of "the peoples."
On May 10, 2009 The Jordan Al-Moheed Arab News Network reported that “pigs in our time have their origins in Jews who angered Allah... and it is obligatory to kill and slaughter them."
On January 3, 2010 the “Daily Mail” reported that Abdullah el-Faisal, an Islamic cleric, was arrested by anti-terror police in Kenya for preaching in a Mombasa mosque. Previously this fanatical Muslim cleric was jailed in Britain, in 2003, after being convicted of incitement to murder and stirring racial hatred by urging followers to kill Hindus, Jews and Americans.
On January 4, 2010 CNN Broadcast reported that Hamas produced a cartoon video, as might be expected, depicting Israelis in a very negative light. The video has a Jewish settler on a killing spree. According to the settler’s father "the most delicious thing is to kill Palestinians and drink their blood."
Although the ranting of these Islamic fanatics is a distortion of the truth their words are influencing many Muslims to blindly hate the infidels (non Muslims). According to their message everyone who is not a Muslim is in danger. Jew, Hindus, Christian and particularly, the Great Satan, non- Muslim Americans. It is up to you to become active.
