A HOLOCAUST IN THE MAKING

If you were born in Europe between 1930 and 1945, and were Jewish, it is highly probable that you and your family would have been sent to a concentration camp and murdered along with 6,000,000 other Jewish people. A holocaust does not occur over night. It is something that builds from lies and distortion. Then it grows into hate and escalates to violence and murder.

On November 22, 2009 Abraham Foxman, Director of THE “Anti-Defamation League,” reported “we face immense challenges, some of the kind that we haven't encountered for decades. First, for us as a Jewish community, is the challenge of global anti-Semitism, reaching a peak this year that we haven't seen since the tragic days of World War II.”

The Jewish people may well be facing another Holocaust one that is void of death machines such as gas chambers/ incinerators. Although through the stimulation of words, individuals and groups can replace the death machines. Below are a few examples of what may be the steps along the path to a Holocaust for Jews.


On March 1, 1999, a Federal District court in Brooklyn sentenced Ghazi Ibrahim Abu Maizar. His crime, conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction. After his arrest, Abu Maizar told an FBI agent that he had decided to detonate the bomb on a subway line that runs from Manhattan to Coney Island. "because there are a lot of Jews that ride that train." At the trial, Abu Maizar said he hopes to kill "as many Jews as he could. “


On Jan 7, 2010 The Associated Press reported about an instance on a Delta flight from Miami to Detroit. According to a witness Mansor Mohammad Asad, 43, repeatedly yelled “I'm Palestinian and I want to kill all the Jews.“ Asad was removed from the plane and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.


On January 28, 2010 “The Brooklyn” paper reported that Karen Guilbert, while walking her daughter to school along Sixth Avenue in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, NY, found the street was littered with strips of papers reading “KILL JEWS” Karen recalls that in October of 2009 she picked up similar slips that read “KILL JEWS.”


It was reported by the “Orange County Reporter” that on Feb 8, 2010 a group of students with Middle Eastern names disrupted a speech given by the Israeli Ambassador, Michael Oren, at the University of California, Irvine. This may seem to be of minor concern. However, this is a common occurrence when the speaker is pro-Israel or anti-Jihad. Many universities have experienced such disruptions by groups such as the Muslim Student Association, a group which has been linked to the notorious Muslim Brotherhood.

Associated Press reported that on February 20, 2010 the largest synagogue in Egypt – the only one that still conducts High Holy Day services – was the target of an attempted bombing. Also, due to the sharp rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes Jews are leaving cities across Europe such as Malmo, Sweden where they were taken in after World War II and treated with respect.

The above anti-Jewish sentiments being expressed are but a very small sampling of the hate being spread. There are lies such as the killing of Christian children to make matzo. How about the one that Israel is harvesting Palestinian organs? Then blaming the Jews for the war in Iraq. Better yet claiming the Jews caused the 9/11catstrophies even though Islamic terrorists hijacked the airplanes and Islamists joyfully and repeatedly take credit for the events

With the warning by ADL of the rise in anti-Semitism, with claims the Jewish people are controlling our government, and the continuous barrage of hatred spewed out by the Islamic world, Jews need to become actively involved counteracting the lies. Let us remember what happened in the 30’s and 40’s when we did not act.

Now this hatred is seen around the world, even in the halls of the UN. Then add the reality that so many fanatic Islamist religious leaders, world-wide, are preaching the same call to arms as the Egyptian cleric, Zaghloul Al-Naggar, who stated on January 6, 2009 during a TV interview “I Am 'Absolutely' Calling To Wage Jihad Against the Jews.”

Every Jew should face the fact that the Jewish people are facing anti-Semitism the likes of which not seen since the 30’s and 40’s in Europe. Jews need to speak up regularly in self defense against the daily barrage of hateful lies. Not just for the Holocaust Remembrance Day, but every day, let everyone remember the full meaning of “NEVER AGAIN” and take it to heart.
